Glasses that Give Digital Vision to the Blind

the .lumen is a startup that builds glasses which empower the blind to live a better life.

The guide dog is a great, but not a scalable solution. There are 40 million blind people worldwide but only 28 thousand guide dogs.

The .lumen Glasses use self-driving technology scaled down to a headset to help the other 39 million blind individuals who can't have a guide dog. These glasses replicate the main features of a guide dog and more.

The guide dog pulls your hand, the .lumen Glasses pull your head. The Glasses will understand obstacles above or below the ground and keep you away from them. They will understand where it is safe and not to walk, and keep you on the sidewalk, away from the road, puddles, or mud. They compute 100 times a second where you can walk and will take you there.

With continous Software Updates, the Glasses learn to help you more. Reading, shopping, hiking, and even empowering new jobs.

These glasses are powered by haptic interface. Thousands of hours of tests made the .lumen Glasses compatible with 80% of adult heads. . For more information see their website at https://www.dotlumen.com/
