Wise men..., good men..., wild men..., grave men... Rage rage against the dying of the light, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.*
Mankind has always fought against death even while
embracing it.
Amid the bones of our early cave-dwelling ancestors 12,000
years ago we have found burial rituals where tools for were buried in
special tombs presumably for use in an afterlife.
Medical science has long sought to extend life. They have
succeeded in doubling and tripling life spans. Yet the age of 90 still presents
a barrier to living a quality lifestyle and 100 is barely achievable by just a
few.
Now the Coalition for Radical life Extension (RADD) is presenting a serious “rage” against death. With research, scientists, doctors, funding, publicity, advisors and conventions, RAAD is giving their all to fight the good fight. This is the ultimate fight against death itself. You could even say RAAD is Mad, about death.
RAADfest is a
convention September 7-10 dedicated to the mission.
The mission of RAAD
is radical life extension and living an ageless lifestyle to achieve healthier,
fuller, more vibrant lives. Their website states: We are committed to
advancing the interests the super longevity ecosystem. We do this through
public policy advocacy, education, awareness campaigns and community building.
The Coalition is the presenter of RAADfest, the largest super longevity event
in the world. We provide critical connection to our members and member
organizations, enabling and accelerating collaboration between researchers,
entrepreneurs, advocates and the general public.
This year at RAADfest there will be a dedicated BrainHealth panel, to discuss the most effective and relevant ways we reverse
aging's effects and revitalize our cognitive abilities. Hear from Dr. Doug
Ethell, Dr. Patrick Porter @drpatrickporter (@braintaptech), and Dr. Stephen
Sideroff @drstephensideroff on the best ways to protect and restore your mental
and brain health.

*The poem by Dylan Thomas says it all:
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
